Officers of the company management 
 

CEO, Major General (retired) Yitzhak (Haki) Harel
Born in 1957, holds a B.A. degree in political science from Haifa University. Appointed CEO of the Railways company in October 2007. In previous positions he served as chairman of the board of directors of the Israel National Roads Company and in a number of positions in the IDF during 32 years of service, including the head of the Planning Directorate, the head of the Computer Service Directorate, commander of the Northern Corps, commander of division 162 and commander of the 7th brigade.

Deputy CEO: operations, Harel Even
Born in 1964, holds a B.A. degree in economics and geography from Haifa University and an M.A. degree in business administration from Tel-Aviv University.
Began his work with Israel Railways in 1986. He has been employed in a number of positions, including: operations coordinator, head of the traffic department, deputy CEO: operations and infrastructure maintenance.
In his present role he serves as deputy CEO of operations. The department he manages is responsible for the routine planning and management of railway traffic through the national track grid.

Deputy CEO of passengers, Moshe Amsalem
Born in 1960, holds a B.A. degree in social science, a degree in industry and management engineering and he is an authorized train driver instructor.
Began his work with Israel Railways in 1983. He has been employed in a number of positions in the Railways company, including: manager of the operational depot, manager of the mechanical department, manager of national operations, manager of the operations department, manager of the traffic department. In his present role he serves as the deputy CEO of passengers, and as part of his role he manages the passengers department which provides transportation and attendant services  to the passenger while aiming for a high level of service, safety and improved profitability for the Railways company.

Spokeswoman, Liran Gordon Levi
Born in 1974, holds a B.A. degree in general history.
Began her work with the Railways company in March 2008 as the Spokeswoman of the company. In her previous occupations she served as assistant spokesman of the Tel-Aviv municipality, a parliamentary aide, the media adviser of the Minister of Infrastructure, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Spokeswoman of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel.

Deputy CEO of safety, security, quality and environment, Amos Gellert
Born in 1963, chemical engineer, graduate of the Technion. Began his work at the Railways company in 2006.
In his current role he serves as deputy CEO for safety, security and environmental quality in the Railways. The department he manages is a union of the departments of safety (monitoring and engineering), the department of security, the company’s quality administration, the fields of environmental quality, accident debriefing, tracks and traffic arrangement.

Internal auditor, Shmuel Zommer
Born in 1951, holds a B.A. in economics and an M.A. in business administration (specialization in accounting).
Began his work at the Railways company in 2003, and since then served as the internal auditor of the company. In previous roles he served as the internal auditor of the Amidar company and in different positions in the State Comptroller's office, including the manager of the government companies audit department.

Manager of the customer service department, Hadas Noy-Hameiri
Born in 1973, holds an M.A. degree in business administration from the Hebrew University. Began her work with the railways company in May 2008 as the manager of the service department. In previous roles she served as manager of the development and service integration unit in Bank Hapoalim, project manager in the center for strategic management in Bank Hapoalim and an organizational adviser in the TACK company.

Deputy CEO of rolling stock, Sammy Cohen
Born in 1963, B.Sc. in computer science, graduate of business industrial management, practical engineer in Electronics.
Began his work in the Railways company in 1989. Was occupied in a number of positions in the Railways company, including manager of the branch of Electricity and Electronics in the Diesel Plant, manager of the Diesel Plant, national maintenance manager, and rolling stock maintenance department manager.
In his present position he serves as the deputy CEO for rolling stock of the Railways company and is responsible for maintenance of the rolling stock, management of the railway quarters development field, acquisition of new rolling stock and management of the fuel economy for the Railways.

Deputy CEO of  infrastructure, Yariv KATZ
Born in 1969, a civil engineer, graduate of the Technion. Began his work with Israel Railways in March 2008, and since then has been serving as the deputy CEO for infrastructure. Served in a series of roles in the Tel-Aviv municipality, including manager of integrated projects and manager of the department for roads and lighting in the municipality.
In his present position as deputy CEO for infrastructure in the Railways he is responsible for preliminary and detailed design, performance and maintenance of the railway infrastructure which includes: bridges, stations, track system, electricity and communication systems,

Deputy CEO of cargo, Yossef Carmeli
Born in 1961, began his work with the Railways in 1986. Was occupied in a number of positions in the Railways company, including manager of the human resources department, deputy CEO for passengers and manager of the cargo department.
In his current position he serves as deputy CEO for cargo in the train and the person responsible for the overall commercial and operational activities of the cargo department.

Deputy CEO of human resources and logistics, Binyamin Sassi
Born in 1962, holds a BA degree in economics and political science, graduate of Bar-Ilan university.
Began his work with the Railways company in January 2008 and since then has served as deputy CEO for human resources and logistics.
In his previous position he worked as a CEO of a construction company. Served many years in the IDF and retired at the rank of a lieutenant colonel.

Head manager of information, Jehoshua Forman
Born in 1957, completed a B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering and subsequently completed a retraining program for information systems in the Technion. Owner of an M.Sc. degree in information technology from Clark university.
Began his work in Israel Railways in 1986, one of the founders of the unit for computers and information systems in the Railways. In previous positions he served as system and communications administrator, programmer team leader, and manager of the computers and information systems department. In his current role he serves as the head manager of information. The computers and information systems department is responsible for planning, implementation and maintenance of the information and data communications infrastructures of the organization.

Deputy CEO of economics and finance, Amir Shavit
Born in 1972, holds a B.A. in economics and international relations from the Hebrew University.
Began his work with the Railways company in 2006 as manager of the economics department, served as the person responsible for company budgets and the definition of the economic policy of the company. In his present role he serves as manager of economics and finance.

Legal adviser, Yaron Zeft
Born in 1967, holds a bachelor's degree in law, graduate of the Hebrew university, certified as a lawyer.
Started his work at the train company in Jan. 2009 as a legal adviser. In his previous occupation he worked as a lawyer in the private sector.

Corporate secretary, Sri'el Gon
Born in 1974, holds a bachelor's degree in business administration – specializes in data systems and has a Master of law (L.L.M) from Bar-Ilan university.
Started his work at the train company in Jan. 2009 as company-chairman assistant and appointed as Acting corporate secretary in June 2009.
In his previous occupations he worked as assistant to the 'Israel Land Administration' director-general, government's secretary advisor and as an advisor to the prime-minister.
