Kishon terminal (in the upcoming 5-year plan)
Israel Railways is at the completion stages of the design of a cargo terminal at the site of the railway workshops in the rear area of the Haifa port in the Kishon, on an area of about 5 hectares. The terminal is designed to offer a solution for clients who wish to transport and store cargo (import-export) both in the Haifa port and in the Ashdod port.
The track connection between the terminals will allow the volumes of transportation to be increased at low cost. The construction and completion of the terminal is expected within 5 years.
