The Israel Railway Museum is open Sundays - Thursdays, except holydays and eve of holydays, from 08:30-15:30.

 

Admission 
 


Please note payment of admission fee is in cash only.

Groups of at-least 25 participants which pre-book their visit 48 hours or more in advance will receive a discount - detailed in the table below - and will be eligible for a guided tour. Such groups can pay in cash or with a personal cheque (in New Israeli Shekels only).

There are currently no guided tours to visitors other than pre-arranged groups.

Getting here 
 


The Museum's address is Hativat Golani St. 1, Haifa. Please note this address is applicable only to visitors arriving by foot or by public transportation. Visitors arriving by car will find the entrance to the Museum's driveway at the junction of HaMelacha and Hiram streets.

Arriving by public transportation:
Local bus routes 17, 103 and 108 have stops within short walking distance from the Museum entrance (see map below).

If arriving from Lev Hamifratz railway station or central bus station with bus nos. 103 or 108, or from Nawe Sha'anan with bus no. 17, please get off at the Hativat Golani St. stop and continue some 250m by foot to the main entrance of Haifa Mizrah railway station, then follow the signs to the Museum entrance.

If arriving from Haifa Merkaz railway station with bus nos. 17 or 103, or from Bat Galim with bus no. 108, please get off at the Pal-Yam St. stop which follows Al-Istiqlal Mosque. After getting off the bus, please cross the road at the nearby traffic lights and follow the adjacent descending road to Hativat Golani St. where you will find a traffic light with a pedestrian crossing, after which you should turn to the left and continue for some 200m to the main entrance of Haifa Mizrah railway station, then follow the signs to the Museum entrance.

Arriving by Car:
Coming from the south, follow the main Ha'Atzmaut Road across downtown Haifa and follow the signs for Akko towards Highway 22, starting at Pal Yam St. Leave Highway 22 at the first exit (towards Hof Shemen) and immediately turn right again to HaMelacha St., which is followed all the way to the traffic circle under the Highway 22 Bridge, where the entrance to the Museum driveway is located.

Coming from the north, follow Highway 22 towards Haifa and leave it at the Hiram exit. Immediately turn left towards the traffic circle under the Highway 22 Bridge, where the entrance to the Museum driveway is located.

Coming from the East, drive northwards along HaHistadrut St. / Road 4 to Vulcan Junction, then turn left and follow the signs to Highway 22 towards Haifa. Leave the highway at the Hiram exit and immediately turn left towards the traffic circle under the Highway 22 Bridge, where the entrance to the Museum driveway is located.
