Israel Railways is obligated to providing passenger service, including maintaining the train schedules. Nevertheless, there are instances in which various problems result in delays of the train traffic.
For your information: In the event that you arrive at your destination with a delay of more than 30 minutes (from the scheduled time of arrival), you are entitled to compensation.

Compensation for a Delay of More Than 30 minutes |
In the event that you arrive at your destination with a delay of more than 30 minutes (from the scheduled time of arrival) you are entitled to receive a regular ticket on the line traveled – free of charge.

Compensation for a Delay of More Than One Hour |
In the event that you arrive at your destination with a delay of more than one hour (from the scheduled time of arrival) you are entitled to receive two regular tickets on the line traveled – free of charge.

How to Receive a Compensatory Ticket |
There are two methods of receiving a compensatory ticket:
- By addressing the station manager and presenting the original ticket, in the event that you are entitled, compensatory tickets will be issued on the spot.
OR
By filling out a special form and sending it to the Department of Complaints, together with the original ticket. Please note: In the event that additional clarifications are required, receipt of the compensatory tickets may be delayed.
