What is a reserved seat? 
 


The reserved seat service enables saving a reserved seat on the train, in the coach for reserved seats, up to 7 days in advance of the planned journey.

 

It is worthwhile knowing 
 


This service is offered only on intercity trains.

Payment for this service can only be executed at the station, prior to boarding the train. This service may be purchased at the manned ticket cashier or at the automatic ticket dispensers. This service can not be purchased on the train.

This service may be purchased up to 7 days in advance of the planned journey at manned ticket cashiers at the train stations.

One can purchase a ticket that includes the service, or the service can be purchased separately as an addition to an existing ticket.

 

When and where this service is not available 
 


On suburban trains and city trains reserved seat service is not available.

During peak hours, on Sundays, reserved seat service is not available.

During peak hours on Thursdays reserved seat service is not available.

On Fridays, the eve of holidays, Saturday nights and the eve following a holiday, the reserved seat service is not available.

On special occasions that will be publicized in advance.
