In order to provide good service for the well-being of all our passengers, it is important to adhere to a number of rules:


  • For safety reasons, it will not be possible to enter the train stations with bicycles with balloon wheels. Balloon wheels are wheels that are 4" / 10 cm. or more wide (including 4").
  • Bicycles will not be allowed on the train if an official believes that they may endanger the safety of the train passengers.


Folding bicycle that can be loaded onto the train (two-wheeled only):
  • Bicycles up to a wheel diameter not exceeding 20" can be loaded on all trains, on all days and at all times of train operation.

Folding bicycles with a wheel diameter greater than 20" can be loaded onto the train (two-wheeled only):

  • Sundays - Thursdays from 09:00 - 15:00 and from 19:00 - 06:00.
  • On Fridays and on holiday eves, during all times of operation
  • On Saturday evenings and on holiday eves, it is not possible to bring a folding bicycle with a wheel diameter greater than 20" onto the train.

Bicycles that do not fold – can be brought onto the train (two-wheelers only):

  • Sundays - Thursdays from 09:00 - 15:00 and from 19:00 - 06:00.
  • On Fridays and on holiday eves, during all times of operation.
  • On Saturday evenings and on holiday eves, it is not possible to bring bicycles that do not fold onto the train.

Safety instructions for travelling with a bicycle at the station:

  • It is forbidden to ride a bicycle in the entire area of the station, including in the passenger hall, on the platforms and in the passageways between them.
  • Go through the gates that bear the appropriate markings for the passage of bicycles and make sure that the train ticket is stamped at the ticket control gates.
  • It is forbidden to transport bicycles on an escalator. The descent and ascent to the platform will be done using the elevators / stairs only.
  • Bicycles must not be chained anywhere in the entire area of the station, including on the platforms, in the passenger halls and in the passageways between them, except in the area designated for bicycle parking outside the station complex. Bicycles that are chained in violation of this provision will be disposed of and the expenses incurred by Israel Railways will be borne by their owners.

Safety instructions for riding the train with a bicycle.

  • Please bring the bicycle into the dedicated coach bearing the appropriate marking – the southern coach on each train. If the coach is crowded and there is no place, wait for the next train and do not enter the full coach with the bicycle
  • You have to wait until all the passengers have alighted from and boarded the train and only then to board the train with a bicycle.
  • Be sure to maintain a clear passage for commuters using wheelchairs in the ramp leading to the accessible coach.
  • You must be near the bicycle during the entire journey in order to be available at the request of the train inspector to move the bicycle from their place
  • It is forbidden to chain the bicycle inside the train. Bicycles that are chained in violation of this provision will be disposed of and the expenses incurred by Israel Railways will be borne by their owners.
  • Do not charge scooters, electric bicycles and batteries on the train. The electrical system in the train is intended for use by mobile devices only.


Remember that we are not responsible for any malfunction, damage or theft that may occur to the bicycle during transport by train or while parked in the station complex, including in the designated parking area for bicycles.
