  • Passengers who have purchased a reserved seat service and, for a reason dependent upon Israel Railways, it was not possible for the passenger to make use of the reserved seat service they purchased, are entitled to compensation that includes a refund of the cost of the reserved seat service + a compensation ticket for a single trip on the line they traveled. 
  • If the train on which they traveled was also late, under circumstances that entitle them to compensation for the delay (according to the “compensation for delay / cancellation of train” directives detailed on the website), passengers will be entitled to both the stated compensation and compensation for the delay / cancellation of the train. 
  • The compensation will be given by contacting the Customer Service Center or the Train Station Manager and subject to presentation of the reserved seat service ticket that has not been used, together with the train ticket used on the same line (or other reference). the compensation will also be given for a reserved seat service purchased in the past (as of April 15, 2010) and not used as stipulated above.
