Changes in train schedules On the Jerusalem Malha-Beit Shemesh and Beit Shemesh-Netanya lines


Due to track maintenance work, from 20:00 on Wednesday, 20 November 2019 through 05:00 on Sunday, 24 November 2019, there will be changes in train schedules: 

Wednesday, 20 November 2019 
  • Trains departing from the Herzliya Station to Beit Shemesh at 20:36, 21:36, and 22:36 will terminate their journey at the Lod Station, instead of the Beit Shemesh Station.

Thursday, 21 November 2019
  • Trains on the Jerusalem Malha-Beit Shemesh line will not operate
  • Trains on the Netanya-Herzliya-Beit Shemesh line will start and terminate their journeys at the Ramle Station
  • The Jerusalem Malha, Jerusalem Zoo, and Beit Shemesh stations will be closed

Friday, 22 November 2019
  • Trains on the Jerusalem Malha-Beit Shemesh line will not operate
  • Trains on the Lod-Beit Shemesh section of the line will not operate
  • The Jerusalem Malha, Jerusalem Zoo, and Beit Shemesh stations will be closed
  • Trains on the Beer Sheva-Lod line will stop at the Ramle Station

Saturday night, 23 November 2019
  • Trains on the Tel Aviv Savidor Central-Jerusalem Malha section will not operate
  • The Jerusalem Malha, Jerusalem Zoo, and Beit Shemesh stations will be closed
Free alternative transportation services will be available to you

From the Lod Station to the Beit Shemesh station (stopping at the Ramle Station):

Every hour from 06:25 through 23:25 (every XX:25)

From the Beit Shemesh Station to the Ramle Station (stopping at the Lod Station):
Every hour from 05:50 through 22:00 (every XX:50)

Friday, 22 November 2019
From the Ramle Station to the Beit Shemesh Station:
Every hour from 06:50 through 13:50 (every XX:50)

From the Beit Shemesh Station to the Ramle Station (stopping at the Lod Station):
Every hour from 06:30 through 14:40 (every XX:30)

Compensation during the closure
Tracks require regular maintenance, which sometimes requires the temporary closing of a rail section. If you have purchased a 30-day flexible Rav Kav or 7-day flexible Rav Kav, and you cannot travel because of a temporary closure of a track section, which was not announced on the Israel Railways website and in the stations seven days from the day the tickets were purchased, you be eligible for an extension of the use period of the ticket, depending on the type of ticket in your possession.

Pursuant to Ministry of Transport instructions:
  • The holders of student period tickets of any kind are not eligible for compensation for the closing of a track section.
  • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 14 days before the start of the closure, holders of 7-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
  • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 37 days before the start of the closure, holders of 30-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
