Train traffic on the Hertsliya – Jerusalem - Yitzhak Navon line, 14.12.21

Dear passengers
Due to a security forces exercise, which is planned to take place in cooperation with the security forces in the tunnels of the high speed line, train traffic on the Hertsliya – Jerusalem - Yitzhak Navon line, will be suspended on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 21:00 (instead of at midnight).
  • Passengers destined for or originating from the Tel Aviv stations or the Jerusalem - Yitzhak Navon Station, will use regular bus lines, located at the Jerusalem Central Bus Station, near the Yitzhak Navon Station, or at the Terminal 2000 near the Tel Aviv - Savidor Center Station.
  • Following are the details of the shuttle service operated as an alternative solution: From the Tel Aviv - Savidor Center Station to the Jerusalem – Yitzhak Navon Station (with passengers alighting only at the Ben Gurion Airport Train Station) at: 21:45, 22:15, 22:45, 23:15.  




Train traffic will revert to normal on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, upon the resumption of service.


  • It is recommended to remain updated regarding trip times, at the Journey Planner
  • It is mandatory to wear a mask inside the trains and in closed spaces at the train stations. Passengers are required to wear a mask throughout the journey and to practice social distancing.



Compensation during the closure
Tracks require regular maintenance, which sometimes requires the temporary closing of a rail section. If you have purchased a 30-day flexible Rav Kav or 7-day flexible Rav Kav, and you cannot travel because of a temporary closure of a track section, which was not announced on the Israel Railways website and in the stations seven days from the day the tickets were purchased, you be eligible for an extension of the use period of the ticket, depending on the type of ticket in your possession.

Pursuant to Ministry of Transport instructions:
  • The holders of student period tickets of any kind are not eligible for compensation for the closing of a track section.
  • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 14 days before the start of the closure, holders of 7-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
  • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 37 days before the start of the closure, holders of 30-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
