Changes in Train Traffic in the HaSharon Area


Temporary cessation of train traffic between Rosh HaAyin and Ra’anana, starting March 18, 2022

As part of urgent infrastructure works to improve travel safety, starting on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 22:00 pm and for a period of about six weeks, the Kfar Sava Nordau, Hod HaSharon Sokolov and Ra’anana South stations will be temporarily closed and changes in train traffic will apply.

  • Also, please note that due to a temporary shortage of train personnel, the operating hours of the line between Herzliya and Ra’anana West stations will be reduced. The line will operate in the morning (7:00-10:00). Free shuttles will operate between these stations during all hours of the day, as follows:

From Herzliya station to Ra’anana West station
07:20 to 9:20, every hour at: xx:20.
10:50 to 14:50, every hour at: xx:50.
15:20 to 20:20, every half hour at: xx:50, xx:20.

From Ra’anana West station to Herzliya station
07:40 to 14:40, every hour at: xx:40.
15:10 to 20:10, every hour at: xx:40, xx:10.


The following is a list of the changes:

  • Trains from / to Tel Aviv will begin and end their journey at Rosh HaAyin North station.
  • The Ministry of Transportation will reinforce lines 148 and 149 from Kfar Sava, line 347 from Ra’anana and line 249 from Hod HaSharon to Tel Aviv.   • The following is a list of free shuttles that operate between the Hod HaSharon Sokolov and Herzliya stations and between the Kfar Sava Nordau and Tel Aviv Savidor Center stations:

    Starting March 18, 2022, Sundays - Thursdays, at the following times: 05:30 - 23:30:

    From Tel Aviv Savidor Center station to Kfar Sava Nordau station, at the following times:
    5:30 AM to 15:00 and from 19:00 to 23:30, every half hour: xx:30, xx:00.
    15:20 to 18:40, every 20 minutes: xx:00, xx:40, xx:20.

    From Kfar Sava Nordau station to Tel Aviv Savidor Center station, at the following times:
    5:30 AM to 6:00 AM
    06:20 AM to 08:40 AM, every 20 minutes: xx:00, xx:40, xx:20.
    09:00 AM to 23:30, every half hour: xx:30, xx:00.

    From Hod Hasharon Sokolov station to Herzliya station, at the following times:
    5:30 AM to 6:00 AM
    06:20 AM to 08:40 AM, every 20 minutes: xx:00, xx:40, xx:20.
    09:00 AM to 23:30, every half hour: xx:30, xx:00.

    From Herzliya station to Hod HaSharon Sokolov station, at the following times:
    5:30 AM to 15:00 and 19:00 to 23:30, every half hour: xx:30, xx:00.
    15:20 to 18:40, every 20 minutes: xx:00, xx:40, xx:20.

    As of March 18, 2022, on Fridays:

    Between Hod HaSharon Sokolov station and Herzliya station (in both directions), at the following times:
    05:15 AM to 14:15, Every hour: xx:15

    Between Tel Aviv Savidor Center station and Kfar Sava Nordau station (in both directions), at the following times:
    07:00 AM to 14:00, every hour: xx:00


    As of March 19, 2022, every Saturday:

    Between Tel Aviv Savidor Center station and Kfar Sava Nordau station (in both directions), at the following times: 21:00, 22:00.

    Between Herzliya station and Hod HaSharon Sokolov station (in both directions), at the following times: 21:20, 22:20, 23:20.

* Please note the hours of operation of the line between Herzliya and Ra’anana West stations: the line will operate in the morning (7:00-10:00), and free shuttles will operate between the stations during all hours of the day.

    Compensation during the closure
    Tracks require regular maintenance, which sometimes requires the temporary closing of a rail section. If you have purchased a 30-day flexible Rav Kav or 7-day flexible Rav Kav, and you cannot travel because of a temporary closure of a track section, which was not announced on the Israel Railways website and in the stations seven days from the day the tickets were purchased, you be eligible for an extension of the use period of the ticket, depending on the type of ticket in your possession.

    Pursuant to Ministry of Transport instructions:
    • The holders of student period tickets of any kind are not eligible for compensation for the closing of a track section.
    • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 14 days before the start of the closure, holders of 7-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
    • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 37 days before the start of the closure, holders of 30-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
