Cancellation of train traffic south of the Tel Aviv - HaHagana Station


Cancellation of train traffic south of the Tel Aviv - HaHagana Station, on the Jerusalem - Yitzhak Navon line and at the Petah Tikva, Rosh Ha’Ayin and Bne Brak stations.


In light of the Corona virus pandemic related lock down and the low numbers of passenger trips and in coordination with the Ministry of Transport, the acceleration and advancement of infrastructure development and maintenance work program for the lock down period will be expanded. 
This advancement will make it possible to complete the works during a period of relatively reduced passenger demand, instead of during the coming months, when an increase in the volume of travel is expected. 

Due to the works, changes in train traffic will apply from Tuesday, January 12, 2021 to Wednesday, February 3, 2021.

Following are details of the changes:
  • No trains will run south of the Tel Aviv - HaHagana Station. The Tel Aviv - HaHagana Station will be the last station available for travelers arriving from the north. All stations south of the Tel Aviv - HaHagana Station will be temporarily closed for service.
  • No trains will operate on the Herzliya - Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon line, and on the Rosh Ha’Ayin North - Rishon LeTsiyon Moshe Dayan - Beer Sheva line. 
  • The following stations will be temporarily closed for service: 
    Rosh Ha’Ayin - North, Petah Tikva, Petah Tikva - Kiryat Arye, Bne Brak, Lod, Lod - Ganei Aviv, Kfar Habad, Modi’in - Center, Pa’ate Modi’in, Jerusalem - Yitzhak Navon, Holon Junction, Holon - Wolfson, Bat Yam - Yoseftal, Bat Yam - Komemiyut, Ramla, Bet Shemesh, Be’er Ya’akov, Rishon LeTsiyon - HaRishonim, Rishon LeTsiyon - Moshe Dayan, Rehovot, Yavne - East, Yavne - West, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Sderot, Netivot, Ofakim, Mazkeret Batya, Kiryat Malakhi - Yoav, Kiryat Gat, Lehavim - Rahat, Be’er Sheva - North University, Beer Sheva - Center, Dimona.
  • The reopening of the Kfar Sava - Nordau, Hod HaSharon - Sokolov, Ra’anana - South and Ra’anana - West stations planned for Sunday, January 17, 2021, will be postponed to Wednesday, February 3, 2021. 
  • During the days that work is carried out, Corona virus guidelines will be observed, which include the obligation to book a travel voucher, wear a mask and maintain social distance. 
    The train stations that remain open will be significantly reinforced by stewards, who will issue vouchers to passengers on the spot

The Ministry of Transport is preparing to reinforce the bus service, insofar as there will be demand.
