Railway operations during quarantine

Railway traffic as of October 18, 2020

Pursuant to a decision by the Ministry of Transport, passenger operating hours will be expanded as of October 18, 2020.

  • Railway traffic, which, has been suspended at 20:00 in recent weeks, will resume operations from about 05:00 through about 22:00 on Sunday-Thursday only. No trains will operate on Friday and Saturday night.
  • From 22:00, trains underway will only disembark passengers. There will be no entry to stations or embarking on trains after 22:00.
  • Attention! No train boarding pass will be valid for a train departing after 22:00.
  • Railway traffic on the Beit She'an-Haifa, Karmiel-Haifa, and Lod-Rishon LeZion Rishonim Station lines, which has been greatly restricted in recent weeks, will resume normal operations. 
  • At this time, service on the Kfar Saba Nordau-Herzliya line will not resume. 

Progress on the electrification work

Due to the completion of the electrification infrastructure at the Herzliya Station, and the start of electrification infrastructure work as far as the area of Netanya, there will be changes in railway traffic from 21:00 every evening through 05:00 the next morning.
  • Trains in the northern section of the line will begin and terminate their journeys at the Hadera Station, stopping at all the interim stations. Trains in the southern section of the line will begin and terminate their journeys at the Herzliya Station.
  • Increased special bus service will operate during work hours to provide a response for passengers. For full information about the changes and details about the extra buses lines >>
