Changes in train traffic in the Haifa and North Area on August 6, 2021 - August 7, 2021

Dear passengers, as part of the annual maintenance plan, changes will take place in train traffic in the Haifa and North area on Friday, August 6, 2021 and on Saturday evening, August 7, 2021, due to infrastructure works for the maintenance, upgrading and replacement of rail components in the Haifa Center – HaShmona Station area.

Due to the works, no trains will be operated on the following lines:

  • Karmiel – Haifa - Hof HaKarmel
  • Beit She’an – Haifa - Hof HaKarmel
  • Nahariya – Haifa - Hof HaKarmel

  • On these dates, the following stations will not be opened for service: Nahariya, Ako, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Hayim, Hutsot HaMifratz, HaMifrats Central, Karmiel, Ahihud, Beit She'an, Afula - Rafael Eitan, Migdal Ha’emek - Kfar Barukh, Yokne’am - Kfar Yehoshu’a.

  • On these dates, the regular bus lines in the area will be bolstered.
  • Train traffic will return to normal on Sunday, August 8, 2021 upon the resumption of service.


  • You are advised to check the up-to-date journey times in the journey planner, in the app, or by calling the customer service hotline at *5770, before going to the station.
  • Wearing a mask on the train and in enclosed spaces inside the train stations is mandatory. Passengers are obligated to wear a mask and maintain social distancing throughout the journey.


    Compensation during the closure
    Tracks require regular maintenance, which sometimes requires the temporary closing of a rail section. If you have purchased a 30-day flexible Rav Kav or 7-day flexible Rav Kav, and you cannot travel because of a temporary closure of a track section, which was not announced on the Israel Railways website and in the stations seven days from the day the tickets were purchased, you be eligible for an extension of the use period of the ticket, depending on the type of ticket in your possession.

    Pursuant to Ministry of Transport instructions:
    • The holders of student period tickets of any kind are not eligible for compensation for the closing of a track section.
    • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 14 days before the start of the closure, holders of 7-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
    • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 37 days before the start of the closure, holders of 30-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
