On Thursday, July 14, 2022, the opening ceremony of the 21st Maccabiah events will be held at Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem.
Prior to the event, Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon station will be reinforced with stewards, security guards and managers, and four special trains will be added to the regular train schedule, with an emphasis on reinforcing the Modi’in - Jerusalem line, at the request of the event producers.
- The following is a list of the special trains that will be operated in accordance with the indicated travel times:
Train No. 8541 will depart from Modi’in Center station at 16:30 and will stop at Modi’in Outskirts and Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon (terminal stop).
Train No. 8543 will depart from Modi'in Center station at 17:35 and will stop at the Modi’in Outskirts and Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon (terminal stop).
Train No. 8540 will depart from Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon station at 23:45 and will stop at Modi’in outskirts and Modi'in Center (terminal stop). Special train No. 8190 will have a stopover with this train, for the benefit of passengers whose destinations are the coastline and Haifa stations, which will depart from Modi'in Center station at 00:25 (Friday) and stop at Modi'in Outskirts, Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv HaHagana, Tel Aviv HaShalom, Tel Aviv Savidor Center, Tel Aviv University, Herzliya, Beit Yehoshua, Netanya, Hadera West, Binyamina, Haifa Hof HaKarmel, Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Center HaShmona.
We will also be prepared to operate special trains according to need and demand.
On this day, the electrification work, which is carried out every night on the shoreline, will be suspended in order to allow the eventgoers to return from Tel Aviv to northern destinations by train.
The event organizers will operate a free shuttle service from Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon station to Teddy Stadium and back.
