Changes in railway service, in the Modiin, Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv areas

Israel Railways is continuing the track infrastructure development and upgrade work nationwide.

As part of the annual maintenance plan, infrastructure maintenance and upgrade work and the replacement of track elements will be carried out at Ben Gurion Airport.


The work will involve changes in railway service in the Tel Aviv and central region from 00:01 on Wednesday 9 September 2020 (Tuesday-Wednesday night) through the end of service on Saturday night, 12 September 2020. For this reason the Modiin Central, Pa'ate Modiin, and Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon stations will be temporarily closed.


Changes in service


Wednesday, 9 September 2020 and Thursday, 10 September 2020

  • There will no train service on the Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon-Tel Aviv Savidor Central line.
  • Train service on the Modiin-Nahariya line will begin and terminate at the Tel Aviv Savidor Central Station, instead of the Modiin Station.


Friday, 11 September 2020 

  • There will no train service on the Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon-Tel Aviv Savidor Central line.
  • Train service on the Beer Sheva Central-Tel Aviv Savidor Central line will begin and terminate at the Lod Station, instead of the Tel Aviv Savidor Central Station.


Saturday night, 12 September 2020

  • There will no train service on the Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon-Tel Aviv Savidor Central line.
  • There will no train service on the Modiin-Tel Aviv Savidor Central line.
  • Train service on the Beer Sheva Central-Tel Aviv Savidor Central line will begin and terminate at the Lod Station, instead of the Tel Aviv Savidor Central Station.
