Temporary Changes in Train Traffic at Petah Tikva Kiryat Arye Station

Please note, as part of the work being carried out for the construction of the light rail, and under the direction of the Ministry of Transportation, NTA will carry out a large-scale operation, as part of which the Petah Tikva Kiryat Arye train station will be connected to the adjacent light rail station.
Due to the engineering works, between Friday, July 15, 2022 and Monday, August 1, 2022 (inclusive), platform No. 2 at Petah Tikva Kiryat Arye station will be temporarily closed and temporary changes in train traffic at the station will apply.

  • On the above dates, trains traveling from Tel Aviv to Herzliya - will not stop at Petah Tikva Kiryat Arye station.
  • Trains traveling from Herzliya to Tel Aviv, Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan and Ashkelon - will stop at Petah Tikva Kiryat Arye station, in accordance with the regular schedule.
  • The train traffic at Petah Tikva Segula station will continue as usual, and it is recommended to use this station.
  • We will operate a free shuttle service between Petah Tikva Kiryat Arye and Petah Tikva Segula, throughout all hours of operation.

Train traffic at the station will return to normal on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Compensation during the closure
Tracks require regular maintenance, which sometimes requires the temporary closing of a rail section. If you have purchased a 30-day flexible Rav Kav or 7-day flexible Rav Kav, and you cannot travel because of a temporary closure of a track section, which was not announced on the Israel Railways website and in the stations seven days from the day the tickets were purchased, you be eligible for an extension of the use period of the ticket, depending on the type of ticket in your possession.

Pursuant to Ministry of Transport instructions:
  • The holders of student period tickets of any kind are not eligible for compensation for the closing of a track section.
  • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 14 days before the start of the closure, holders of 7-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
  • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 37 days before the start of the closure, holders of 30-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
