Information on evening, nighttime, and Saturday night train service

We recommend updating the departure times on the Journey Planner, the App, and the telephone service center No. *5770.
We also wish to remind you that each trip on the train requires the issue of a travel voucher, wearing a mask, and keeping the Ministry of Health Rules. 


Closed stations:


  • Ben Gurion Airport, Jerusalem Malha, and Jerusalem Biblical Zoo will be closed on the days of the week.
  • In accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Transport, the Ben Gurion Airport train station will reopen for regular service on this coming Thursday, April 22, 2021
  • As of Sunday April 18, 2021, the service at the following stations will be reinstated: Holon Junction, Holon - Wolfson, Bat Yam - Komemiyut and Yavne - East, which were temporarily closed due to the railway track electrification project. 


Changes in train service on Sunday-Thursday


Changes on the Beer Sheva - Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan - Ra'anana line  

  • The frequency of trains on the line is two trains per hour. Between the Tel Aviv - Savidor Center and Hertsliya stations from 10:00 to 15:00, the frequency of trains is one train per hour. 
  • On Sundays - Thursdays from 20:00 in the evening until the end of operations for that day, changes in train traffic will apply to this line. 
  • From the south – train traffic will operate between the Be’er Sheva station and the Ashkelon station, until the end of operations, at: 21:30 (approximately).



Stations update


  • Attention! The western entrance to the Haifa Hof Hacarmel station is closed. Entry to the station is only possible via the eastern entrance. Exit from the station is possible via both the eastern and western entrances.

  • The southern entrance to the Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan Station is closed. Entry to and exit from the station is possible from the northern entrance.

  • The northern entrance to the Ramle Station is closed. Entry to and exit from the station is possible from the southern entrance.

  • The western entrance to the Binyamina Station is closed. Entry to the station is possible from the eastern entrance, and exit from the station is possible from both entrances.

  • As of Sunday, March 14, 2021 and up to Wednesday, September 1, 2021, work will be carried out to renovate and upgrade the Rehovot Train Station. as a result, the north train station hall will be closed and entry to the train station will be permitted only through a temporary passage. 


    Changes in train service on evening and nighttime:


  • Due to the completion of the electrification infrastructure at the Herzliya Station, and the start of electrification infrastructure work as far as the area of Zichron Ya’acov, there will be changes in railway traffic from about 20:30 every evening through 06:00 the next morning.
  • Trains in the northern section of the line will begin and terminate their journeys at the Haifa - Hof HaKarmel station, stopping at all the interim stations. Trains in the southern section of the line will begin and terminate their journeys at the Herzliya Station.

Increased special bus service will operate during work hours to provide a response for passengers.

It is recommended to keep up to date about the buses' operating hours and lines at the Ministry of Transport website at www.bus.gov.il and/or at the telephone call center at *8787.
Northbound passengers are advised to disembark at the Tel Aviv Savidor Central Station and use the range of bus lines available at the adjacent 2000 Terminal. 
For passengers travelling from the north and Haifa area, whose destination is south of the Hof HaKarmel station, it is recommended to use one of the bus lines departing from the central bus station, near the train station.

From Netanya to Tel Aviv – line 605
Departing from Netanya: 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, 21:00, 22:00

From Hadera to Binyamina and Zichron Yaakov – line 70

Changes in train traffic on Fridays and Saturday evenings: 

  • Against the background of the exit from the Corona virus related lockdown and the lifting of the restrictions and in accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Transport, Israel Railways will renew the service on Fridays and Saturday evenings, commencing on Friday, March 19, 2021. Find all the details here
