Reinstatement of train operations on Fridays and Saturday evenings


Dear passengers, please note: 
Against the background of the exit from the Corona virus related lockdown and the lifting of the restrictions, and in accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Transport, Israel Railways will resume service on Fridays and Saturday evenings, commencing on Friday, March 19, 2021. 

  • The service will be renewed at lines and stations where the service can be renewed, in parallel with the development of infrastructure and the electrification of the railway tracks. 
  • Train traffic will operate on the lines listed below, on Fridays, from 06:00 - 14:00 (approximately) and on Saturday evenings from 21:00 - 24:00 (approximately). The frequency of trains will be one train per hour, in each direction. 
  • In addition, the electrification of the section of railway track between Lod and Ganot has been completed, so the train service will be extended in the evening, Sundays to Thursdays, at the following stations: Bet Shemesh, Lod, Rehovot and direct trains will be added (no need to change trains) on the passenger line between Be’er Sheva and Tel Aviv (via the Kiryat Gat, Lehavim, Lod, etc. stations) as well as between the Rehovot and Binyamina stations and between Bet Shemesh and Tel Aviv. 

Details of the lines that will be operated every Friday and Saturday evening: 

  • Be’er Sheva Center - Hertsliya – Trains on this line will stop at the following intermediate stations: Be’er Sheva North University, Lehavim - Rahat, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malakhi - Yoav, Mazkeret Batya, Ramla, Lod and all Tel Aviv stations. 
  • The Nahariya - Haifa Hof HaKarmel line – Trains on this line will stop at the following intermediate stations: Acre, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Hayim, Hutsot HaMifrats, HaMifrats Central, Haifa Center - HaShmona, Haifa - Bat Gallim. 
  • The Bet She’an - Haifa Hof HaKarmel line – Trains on this line will stop at the following intermediate stations: Afula - Rafael Eitan, Migdal Ha’Emek - Kfar Barukh, Yokne’am - Kfar Yehoshu’a, Hamifrats Central, Haifa Center - HaShmona, Haifa - Bat Gallim. 
  • The Karmi’el - Haifa Hof HaKarmel line - Trains on this line will stop at the following intermediate stations: Ahihud, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Hayim, Hutsot HaMifrats, HaMifrats Central, Haifa Center - HaShmona, Haifa - Bat Gallim.
