Temporary changes in the train traffic in the Tel Aviv / Lod, October 1, 2021

Dear passengers, as part of the annual track maintenance plan, work will be carried out to upgrade the track at the Tel Aviv - HaHagana station. Due to this, temporary changes in train traffic will apply only on Friday, October 1, 2021. 

Following is a list of the changes:

  • Trains on the Be’er Sheva – Hertsliya line (traveling through Kiryat Gat, Lehavim - Rahat, etc. stations) will operate only between the Be’er Sheva and Lod stations.
  • Trains on the Bet Shemesh – Tel Aviv - Savidor Center line – will operate between the Bet Shemesh and Lod stations only.
  • The Tel Aviv - HaHagana, Tel Aviv - HaShalom, Tel Aviv - Savidor Center, Tel Aviv - University, Hertsliya, Kfar Habad and Lod - Gane Aviv stations – will be temporarily closed to train traffic.

Following are details of the Shuttle Service:

From the Lod Station to the Tel Aviv - Savidor Center Station: 06:30, 07:00, 07:30, 08:00, 08:30, 09:00, 09:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:00, 13:30, 14:00
From the Tel Aviv Savidor Center Station to the Lod Station: 06:00, 06:30, 07:00, 07:30, 08:00, 08:30, 09:00, 09:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00


Train traffic will revert to normal on Saturday evening, October 2, 2021, upon the resumption of service.

  • It is recommended to remain updated on travel times at the trip route planning page, through the app and at the hotline center, on number: *5770, before arriving at the stations.
  • Details about the bolstering of regular public transport lines can be obtained at the hot line of the Ministry of Transport, on Tel: *8787.
  • It is mandatory to wear a mask inside the trains and in enclosed spaces at the train stations. Passengers are required to wear a mask throughout the journey and to maintain social distancing.

Compensation during the closure
Tracks require regular maintenance, which sometimes requires the temporary closing of a rail section. If you have purchased a 30-day flexible Rav Kav or 7-day flexible Rav Kav, and you cannot travel because of a temporary closure of a track section, which was not announced on the Israel Railways website and in the stations seven days from the day the tickets were purchased, you be eligible for an extension of the use period of the ticket, depending on the type of ticket in your possession.

Pursuant to Ministry of Transport instructions:
  • The holders of student period tickets of any kind are not eligible for compensation for the closing of a track section.
  • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 14 days before the start of the closure, holders of 7-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
  • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 37 days before the start of the closure, holders of 30-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
