Intercity travel cost reform

Starting from Wednesday, 28.9.18, the reform in the cost of travel on public transport is expanding to include intercity routes.

The new price reductions for intercity journeys will be provided for Israel Rail, busses and the light railway system via a combined day pass travel card and the combined Flexible 30. The new fares will be valid for most parts of the country.

As part of the reform, a new combined day pass travel card will also be launched that provides unrestricted travel throughout the day for 60 NIS.

The combined day pass travel card and top-up travel cards will replace return tickets. Passengers  who wish to take advantage of eligibility for discounts as provided until now using a return card will be able to receive the discount either by the use of a top-up card or a season ticket.
