Temporary changes in train traffic in the Tel Aviv area, April 29-30, 2022

Dear Passengers, please note:

Due to maintenance work for the purpose of maintaining the fitness and safety of train traffic, temporary changes in train traffic will apply, starting on Friday, April 29, 2022 (starting approximately 13:00) and on Saturday evening April 30, 2022 (during all operating hours). Due to this, the railway section between the Tel Aviv HaHagana (south) and Tel Aviv Savidor Center (north) stations and the Tel Aviv HaShalom station will be temporarily closed to service.

Trains on the Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon - Herzliya line - will operate between Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon and Tel Aviv HaHagana stations only (and will not stop at Tel Aviv HaShalom, Tel Aviv Savidor Center, Tel Aviv University, Herzliya).
Trains on the Be’er Sheva - Herzliya line - will operate between the Be’er Sheva and Tel Aviv HaHagana stations only (and will not stop at Tel Aviv HaShalom, Tel Aviv Savidor Center, Tel Aviv University, Herzliya).
Trains on the Modi’in - Tel Aviv Savidor Center line - will operate between Modi’in and Tel Aviv HaHagana stations only (and will not stop at Tel Aviv HaShalom, Tel Aviv Savidor Center stations).
Trains on the Ashkelon - Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan - Tel Aviv - Herzliya line will operate in a split format: between Herzliya and Tel Aviv Savidor Center stations, and between Ashkelon - Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan and Tel Aviv HaHagana stations. The trains will not stop at Tel Aviv HaShalom.

On the construction dates, a shuttle service in both directions will be operated, departing upon full occupancy, between the Tel Aviv HaHagana - Tel Aviv HaShalom stations (Tel Aviv HaShalom - descent only on Namir Road) - Tel Aviv Savidor Center.

Train traffic will return to normal on Sunday, May 1, 2022, upon the resumption of service.

Compensation during the closure

Tracks require regular maintenance, which sometimes requires the temporary closing of a rail section. If you have purchased a 30-day flexible Rav Kav or 7-day flexible Rav Kav, and you cannot travel because of a temporary closure of a track section, which was not announced on the Israel Railways website and in the stations seven days from the day the tickets were purchased, you be eligible for an extension of the use period of the ticket, depending on the type of ticket in your possession.

Pursuant to Ministry of Transport instructions:

The holders of student period tickets of any kind are not eligible for compensation for the closing of a track section.
If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 14 days before the start of the closure, holders of 7-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 37 days before the start of the closure, holders of 30-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
