Changes in Train Traffic at the Lod, Ramla, Mazkeret Batya, Kiryat Malakhi, Kiryat Gat and Lehavim - Rahat Stations
Due to the progress of the electrification project and the acceleration of the works to electrify the tracks in the Lod area and on the line between the Lod and Lehavim - Rahat Stations, the following changes will apply from Saturday, December 25, 2021 until the completion of the works along the sections of track in question:
The operating times of the Tel Aviv - Savidor Center – Be’er Sheva line (via Lod, Kiryat Gat, etc.) will be shortened and operations will be suspended every evening at 21:00 (approximately) and the line will not be operated on Fridays and on Saturday evenings.
The train that departs every evening at 21:07 from the Tel Aviv - Savidor Center Station and whose destination is Be’er Sheva, will depart at 21:28 (instead of 21:07) and will operate along an alternative route, through the Rishon LeTsiyon - Moshe Dayan Station and will not pass through the Lod, Ramla, Mazkeret Batya, Kiryat Malakhi - Yoav, Kiryat Gat and Lehavim - Rahat Stations.
Passengers on the train in the evening and at night, whose destination or origin is Be’er Sheva, will use the western Negev line.
As stated, on Fridays and Saturday evenings, direct trains will operate between the Hertsliya – Tel Aviv – Be’er Sheva Stations, at a frequency of one train every hour, in each direction. This is in addition to trains that will operate every Friday and on Saturday evening, which will stop at all intermediate stations.
In order to provide a solution to the closed lines in the evening and as a bolstering operation for the operated train traffic, we will operate a comprehensive shuttle service system from Sunday to Thursday, between 20:00 - 23:00 (approximately):
- From the Tel Aviv - Savidor Center Station (via the Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malakhi, Lehavim - Rahat Stations and Be'er Sheva-North/University – alighting stations only) to the Be’er Sheva - Center Station, at: 21:07, 22:07, 23:07.
- From the Tel Aviv - Savidor Center Station via the Rehovot Station to the Mazkeret Batya Station, at: 20:40, 21:10, 21:40, 22:10
Just to remind you, every evening on Sunday to Thursday, between 22:00 - 23:00 (approximately) there is also a shuttle service operating from the Tel Aviv - Savidor Center Station to the Bet Yehoshu’a, Netanya and Binyamina Stations.
