Changes in Train Traffic in the Haifa and North Area, on Friday October 22, 2021

Dear passengers, as part of the annual maintenance plan, work will be carried out to upgrade the track in the area of the Haifa Center - HaShmona station. Due to this, there will be temporary changes in train traffic in the Haifa and north area on Friday, October 22, 2021, only.

Due to the work, the following train lines will not run:

  • Karmiel – Haifa - Hof HaKarmel.
  • Beit She’an – Haifa - Hof HaKarmel. Furthermore, the train departing from the Beit She’an station on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 23:36, will not run. A special bus will be available for passengers on this line.
  • Nahariya – Haifa - Hof HaKarmel

  • On this date, the following stations will be closed: Nahariya, Ako, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Hayim, Hutsot HaMifrats, HaMifrats Central, Haifa - Hof HaKarmel, Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Center - HaShmona, Karmiel, Ahihud, Beit She’an, Afula - Rafael Eitan, Migdal Ha’emek - Kfar Barukh, Yokne’am - Kfar Yehoshu’a


Train traffic will revert to normal on Saturday evening, October 23, 2021, upon the resumption of service.


  • It is recommended to remain updated regarding trip times, at the Journey Planner
  • Details about the bolstering of regular public transport lines can be obtained at the Ministry of Transport hotline on Tel: *8787.
  • It is mandatory to wear a mask inside the trains and in closed spaces at the train stations. Passengers are required to wear a mask throughout the journey and to practice social distancing.

Compensation during the closure
Tracks require regular maintenance, which sometimes requires the temporary closing of a rail section. If you have purchased a 30-day flexible Rav Kav or 7-day flexible Rav Kav, and you cannot travel because of a temporary closure of a track section, which was not announced on the Israel Railways website and in the stations seven days from the day the tickets were purchased, you be eligible for an extension of the use period of the ticket, depending on the type of ticket in your possession.

Pursuant to Ministry of Transport instructions:
  • The holders of student period tickets of any kind are not eligible for compensation for the closing of a track section.
  • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 14 days before the start of the closure, holders of 7-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
  • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 37 days before the start of the closure, holders of 30-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
