Cessation of train traffic on Thursday night, May 26, 2022

Dear Passengers, dDue to work on the upgrade of the train signaling system (which cannot be performed while trains operate), on Thursday, May 26, 2022, the service will gradually cease (on all travel lines) between 21:00-23:00 instead of 24:00 (approximately).
In addition, on Friday, May 27, 2022, the train departing from the Ashkelon station every Friday at 4:48 and ending its journey at the Herzliya station at 6:42 will not be operated.

Free shuttle service will operate as follows:

Thursday, May 26, 2022:
From Ashkelon (drop off only at Sderot, Netivot and Ofakim) to Be'er Sheva Center at: 23:00, 24:00
From Ashkelon (drop off only at Ashdod, Yavneh West, Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan, Bat Yam, Holon) to Tel Aviv Savidor Center at: 22:00, 23:00, 24:00
From Tel Aviv Savidor Center to Ashkelon at: 22:15, 23:15
From Ben Gurion Airport to Tel Aviv Savidor Center: 21:00 to 01:00, every half hour: xx:30, xx:00
From Ben Gurion Airport to Haifa Hof HaKarmel: 21:00 to 01:00 at any time: xx:00

Compensation during the closure
Tracks require regular maintenance, which sometimes requires the temporary closing of a rail section. If you have purchased a 30-day flexible Rav Kav or 7-day flexible Rav Kav, and you cannot travel because of a temporary closure of a track section, which was not announced on the Israel Railways website and in the stations seven days from the day the tickets were purchased, you be eligible for an extension of the use period of the ticket, depending on the type of ticket in your possession.

Pursuant to Ministry of Transport instructions:
  • The holders of student period tickets of any kind are not eligible for compensation for the closing of a track section.
  • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 14 days before the start of the closure, holders of 7-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
  • If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 37 days before the start of the closure, holders of 30-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
