The changes will apply on the following days: from Monday, 2 December 2019 through Friday, 20 December 2019, and from Monday, 6 January 2020 and Tuesday, 28 January 2020
In order to expedite infrastructure work for railway electrification between the Tel Aviv Hahagana and Tel Aviv Savidor Central stations, there will be changes in train service in both directions on the Beer Sheva-Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan-Tel Aviv-Ra'anana line, which will operate in a split manner.
Beer Sheva-Tel Aviv-Ra'anana line
Northern section: trains will alternatively operate between the Ra'anana West Station and the Bnei Brak Station or the Tel Aviv Savidor Central Station. For our customers whose trains terminate at the Bnei Brak Station, a ride service will operate to the Tel Aviv University Station.
Southern section: trains will alternatively operate between the Beer Sheva Central Station (via the Ashkelon and Ashdod stations) and the Yavne West Station or Tel Aviv Hahagana Station. For our customers whose trains terminate at the Yavne West Station a ride service will operate to the Tel Aviv Hahagana Station.
Trains departing from the Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan Station
Trains will operate in both directions between the Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan Station and the Tel Aviv Hahagana Station. Passengers wishing to continue their journey northward may change trains at the Tel Aviv Hahagana Station.
Railway service will be increased in both directions between Ashkelon and Ashdod and Tel Aviv, via the Yavne East and Lod stations. Passengers from the stations between Ashdod and Ofakim are advised to switch to these trains at the Ashkelon or Ashdod stations.
Free ride service will operate between the Yavne West Station and the Tel Aviv Hahagana Station and between the Bnei Brak Station and the Tel Aviv University Station.

Compensation during the closure
Tracks require regular maintenance, which sometimes requires the temporary closing of a rail section. If you have purchased a 30-day flexible Rav Kav or 7-day flexible Rav Kav, and you cannot travel because of a temporary closure of a track section, which was not announced on the Israel Railways website and in the stations seven days from the day the tickets were purchased, you be eligible for an extension of the use period of the ticket, depending on the type of ticket in your possession.
Pursuant to Ministry of Transport instructions:
- The holders of student period tickets of any kind are not eligible for compensation for the closing of a track section.
- If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 14 days before the start of the closure, holders of 7-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
- If notification of the closing of a track section is announced on the website and at the stations 37 days before the start of the closure, holders of 30-day flexible Rav Kav will not be eligible for an extension.
