A Rav-Kav card is a smart travel ticket which can be charged depending on your travel needs and which entitles you to discounts while you travel with public transportation. The card is personal to you, displays your name and photograph and it is not transferable. You can recharge the Rav-Kav card at the station cashier and at automatic machines, and can even use it for integrated travels, by train and bus. Your Rav-Kav card is insured, so that in the case of loss, theft or malfunction corruption, you can easily restore it.

Several options exist for ordering a card:
You can easily recharge your Rav-Kav card at the automatic payment machines, located in all railway stations or railway stations cashiers. If it's more convenient to recharge your Rav-Kav card online, Israel Railways allows you to recharge the Rav-Kav card on the Israel Railways website and using the Israel Railways smartphone app. you can recharge your Rav-Kav card with integrated travels of train and bus.

After you've filled in your details in the form, you are required to present a valid I.D. card and to be photographed at the stand - the card will be given to you instantly. It is important to know, that the Rav-Kav card will be delivered to you un-charged. After receiving the card, you must access the automatic machines or one of the station cashiers and charge your card with the travel arrangement relevant for you.
The Rav-Kav card is a personal card carrying your personal information and your photograph, and it cannot be transferred to another person. Your personal information will allow you to receive discounts customized to your entitlement, as well as insurance for your travel arrangements in the event of malfunction, theft or loss of the card. If you have issued a personal Rav-Kav card on Israel Railways, you can sign up to the personal website and receive information about the travel arrangements you have purchased as well as details of your journeys within the past half year.
If your Rav-Kav card is lost or stolen, we’ll

If you don't have time to issue a Rav-Kav card, you can buy a regular paper magnetic card for one direction (without a discount) and you can issue the Rav-Kav card for your next trip.
You can issue an anonymous Rav-Kav card at the subscription stands located at the railway station. Please keep in mind that issuing an anonymous card is by payment only, and does not include discounts or insurance on your travel arrangements in the event of malfunction, theft or loss of the card.
